The Kingdom of Angmar was a nation formed when religious settlers from the Empire were banished for their reverence of Karm as more of a saint than a god. They made their city on the Angmarian Peninsular, this city was called Angmar. It flourished for many years until falling to a demon invasion in 4567 AC. The survivors from Angmar set up a new city called New Angmar on the island of Horatford, where it has flourished since.

History of the nation[]

Before Angmar[]

The Angmarians were a group of people who believed that Karm was just a normal man who was given his power by a higher power, so they revere him as a saint, not a god. This practice was banned in the Empire as they thought that Karm was the only god, so many took offence at this notion and a whole string of violence was unleashed against the Angmarians, the Empire was so offended that even the government took part.

One day the Angmarians decided that enough was enough, they took up arms against the Empire at the heart of the city. Their numbers reached up to 5,000 people, enough to storm the Empire Palace, they breached in and threatened the King that they would kill him unless they give the Angmarians enough supplies to make their own nation, the King with a sword against his throat reluctantly agreed to this. So they set out from the Empire, heading north to the recently discovered High-Top Peninsula which was north of The Crossroads and set up shop there, renaming the Peninsula to the Angmarian Peninsula in 4234 AC.

Sacking of Angmar[]

The City of Angmar flourished well, they rarely had problems with the Empire and they had a healthy trade with the Dwarves and Gnomes. In the year 4567 AC the city had large cultist problems, which the city never really seen as a threat, the occasional kidnappings were all the cultists really did that was major, but of course the city wasn't fighting hard enough and on one night the Cultists who had infiltrated the Night Guard had opened rifts all over the city allowing for demons to come through and bring havoc to the city. The King was slaughtered and the Knight Order of Courtesy was slaughtered to, only about a couple thousand people survived.

The Reconstruction of Angmar[]

The survivors of the razing of Angmar wandered endlessly across the Angmarian Peninsula, being turned away by the many city states that lived around Angmar, until one day a spotter for one of the survivors seen a golden green island floating in the ocean not to far from where they were. They decided it was worth the risk to ferry across, and for a solid week they began work on making a boat to sail them across, which they named 'Hope'. When they landed on the island they knew it was empty as it had a heavy forest all over the island and the wildlife was numerous, so they set up 'New Angmar' there.

After they set up the foundations of what would be their new city, they sent an envoy to the Dwarven capital of Mount Cap where they requested the aid of the Dwarves and Gnomes to rebuild Angmar, the Dwarves had just came back from a lengthy campaign against the Orcs living high up in their mountains so they were reluctant when it came to giving supplies to help other nations, but they accepted under one condition, that the Dwarves get all the mineral rights to anything under the island, the Angmarians agreed to this and the rebuilding begun.

Present Day[]

After the city was finally rebuilt they focused all their power on making Angmar a powerful nation. By the year 4658 AC they fully conquered the Angmarian Peninsula and had retaken the area around Old Angmar, leaving it to the demons. Now in the year 4990 AC, King Daniel lies in coma, befallen by a rare demonic disease which hasn't been seen since ancient days and thus no sign of a cure for him, rumors have it that the only cure is hidden on a long forgotten continent many moons away. To the borders of Angmar the military is constantly fighting with Empire forces for control of the Crossroads. And finally to Old Angmar, Chuckles and his knights attempt to reclaim Old Angmar to make it a sanctuary for Angmar. All his chaos under the Arch canon, the King better come soon.

Past Conflicts and current Conflicts[]

Angmar, being a young nation, hasn't really been in much wars. Most of them was with city states or some undead army.

Past Conflicts[]

  • Unification of the Angmarian Peninsula, 4580 AC - 4658 AC. This was a campaign lead by Angmar to unite the Angmarian Peninsula under one rule, one banner. Eventually they came up on top and became the whole undisputed ruler of the peninsula after 78 years.
  • Expedition into the Dead Island, 4701 AC - 4705 AC. The Angmarians heard of a island to the far south near the barrier, they heard that it was full of relics from the great past, so the Knight Order of the Rising Moon sent an expedition to the Dead Island to be completely massacred by the many undead which lived there. After receiving no word from the Expedition, Angmar authorized all Knight Orders to go to the Island. Many Knight Orders went there, and eventually they drove the undead into the heart of the Dead Island, where they reside to this day.

Current Conflicts[]

  • The War for the Crossroads 4981 AC - Present Day. The Angmarians have always had their eye on The Crossroads, but never have had the casus beli to invade it. Then the Empire invaded and the Dwarves, so they brought it on themselves to come to the Crossroad's aid under the circumstances that the city-state joins Angmar after the war.

Political structure[]

The Kingdom of Angmar is ran by a King and the Arch canon. Below them are the Knight Orders. Each order owns a chunk of land and the inhabitants which live under them. There is a total of ten Knight Orders in all of Angmar. Below the Knight Orders are the various mayors which run most of the land for the knight orders. Finally below them are the commoners.

  • King: The King decrees laws, attending the High Court and leading military campaigns. His advisers deal with other matters, such as the economy, politics and the welfare of the kingdom.
  • The Arch canon: Acts as the Second in Command and regent for his majesty, the king. The Archcanon also runs the official Church of Angmar and organizes the persecution of warlocks and sorcerers in the kingdom.
  • The Knight Orders: The Knight Orders act as the lords of various chunks of lands They must pledge resources to his majesty, the king when they are needed. The Knight Orders also act as the police of the realm, so most of the time it's harsh punishments. There is currently 10 Knight Orders in the realm, one of them being the Order of Vacancy, ran by Chuckles the Knight.
  • Mayors: The people who run the villages and towns for the various Knight Orders. They gives supplies to the knights every month and recruits for the knights.
